Why See Straight No Chaser?
Five ALBUMS AND GOING STRONGER THAN EVER
Straight No Chaser are in the process of reinventing a-cappella for the modern pop landscape. Originally formed in 1996 while students together at Indiana University, the 10-man collective has since re-assembled and re-emerged as a vocal-only phenomenon with a huge fanbase, millions of viewers on YouTube and a successful contract with Atlantic Records.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Their shows are a seamless mixture of the old and the new, unique takes on Adele one moment, Pharrell Williams the next, and Ray Charles after that. The New Old Fashioned Tour tour hits the Overture Hall in Madison, WI, September 28, 2017 and follows hot on the heels of their latest studio album release of the same name, where they put their own unique spin on Bob Dylan's Make You Feel Me Love amongst others.
In the age of backing tracks and autotune, to witness the group provide a show's bass, percussion and harmonies with nothing more than their vocal chords is quite an experience. Expect to hear numbers from their last couple of albums, including their accompanying Christmas editions, as well as whatever current chart hits take their (and yours!) fancy.
Performance date: 28 September 2017
